Inspection Services or Add-Ons to Your Home Inspection

Radon Testing

Radon Testing

Take your home inspection to the next level and ensure your own safety with Radon Testing. Radon is a toxic gas that can rise from soil and become trapped in the home, putting everyone inside at risk for serious health conditions. The gas, which is a known cause of lung cancer, can’t be seen, tasted, or smelled, and requires professional equipment in order to be detected. We use a continuous radon monitor, which measures radon levels in the home and offers printable results. If you need immediate results, we would be happy to read them to you directly from the monitor. Radon Testing is also offered as a standalone service.

Mold Inspection

Mold Inspection

Mold left to grow in the home can cause a variety of health issues, especially in those with weakened immune systems or who suffer from asthma or allergies. We test the air and the surfaces of the home for mold and pinpoint the source, which could be related to moisture intrusion. If mold is found, we will advise you on proper remediation methods. This service can be added to your inspection or completed as a standalone service.

A Wide Selection of Inspection Services

Pre Listing Inspection

Pre-Listing Inspection

If you’re about to sell a home, make the process easier on yourself by scheduling a Pre-Listing Inspection. Sellers can increase their negotiating power and put buyer minds at ease by finding and addressing the issues in the home before listing it for sale.

Re Inspection

Re-Inspection

Re-Inspections can help buyers and sellers remain on the same page after repairs have been made to the home. We can complete this additional inspection after the issues we noted during the General Home Inspection have been addressed, helping the buyer and seller move one step closer to closing.

New Construction Inspection

New Construction Inspection

To best prepare a new home for a final walk through, schedule a New Construction Inspection. We will thoroughly inspect the property after construction is completed, finding the hard-to-notice defects that often go overlooked. This allows the builder time to make necessary repairs and finalize the home.

New Construction Phase Inspection

New Construction Phase Inspections

New Construction Phase Inspections let builders know what issues should be addressed in a particular phase of construction before moving on. These periodic inspections help the builder complete a high-quality and defect-free finished project.

11 Month Warranty Inspection

11th Month Warranty Inspection

If you are the owner of a newly-built home and you know you’re covered under a builder’s warranty, then you should have your home inspected during the 11th month. We will search the home for any of the defects that the builder will cover, giving owners time to request repairs before the warranty is over.

Water Testing

Water Testing

Drinking or using contaminated water can be dangerous to your health, so schedule Water Testing when buying a home or if you notice any changes in your water. We will test drinking and well water for harmful bacteria and contaminants.

Sewer Inspection

Sewer Scope

Issues with a home’s sewer lines can often go unnoticed until the damage is extensive and costly. We offer a Sewer Scope service, during which we use a camera scoping tool to inspect hard-to-see sewer lines for cracks or other issues.

Our Tools

Thermal Imaging Inspection

Thermal Imaging Camera

We use a Thermal Imaging Camera as needed during our inspections. This special type of camera makes infrared energy visible, so it shows us hot and cool spots on the home’s surfaces or appliances, which we couldn’t otherwise see. This tool allows us to inspect the home even more thoroughly, giving us the ability to find issues including leaks and overheating electrical panels.

Moisture Meter Inspection

Moisture Meter

Our Moisture Meter allows us to measure the amount of moisture throughout the home, which is helpful in finding sources of mold, water damage, or hard-to-find leaks.

Spectoscope Roof Inspection

Spectoscope

The Spectoscope is a long tool that we can attach our camera to. With it, we are able to inspect areas that are too high up to see and places in the home that are not safely accessible.
